Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 8, Week 8 is et to take place on October 1st at the UFC APEX, Las Vegas, NV. We’re closing in on the season finale with just 5 fights left for this weeks DWC. Here are our top picks for DWCS week 9. Here are our best picks from betting apps across America.
Best DWCS Week 9 Picks
DWCS week 9 is one of the most uneven of the whole season on paper with favorites ranging from -700 to -900 and just one fight on the card that could go either way. Therefore, we’re not really looking for picks here, even though we went 4/5 on our DWCS week 8 picks last week, since this week’s picks are quite obvious. Rather we’re targeting the over / under rounds where we went 2/3 last week.
Islem Masraf vs Artem Vakhitov
Even though Vakhitov is 2-1-0 in his MMA career, he’s still a huge -600 favorite for this fight. This is quite an accurate reflection of the fighter’s skill sets and there’s not really anything to bet on here as far as the moneyline goes. The under is also set at -210, which is qute accurate since Vakhitov has never made it out the first round and Masraf has done so only once. The lines here are absolutely not worth playing and we strongly recommend you skip this fight.

Kody Steele vs Chasen Blair
The tale of the tape for Steele vs Blair is very similar to the previous fight. While Steele is only -200 favorite, we still see him taking this fight quite comfortably. Again for this fight, the over is at -200 which is quite accurate. Like before, we don’t feel this is a good fight for betting. While as a reader, this might be frustrating to you, one of the most important factors on how to make money betting on sports is to know when to not bet as well.

Lucas Camacho vs Mario Pinto
Camacho vs Pinto is the first fight where there’s anything to bet on. Not the moneyline as three time Level Fight League champion Pinto is clear favorite, even though the odds of +452 are a bit disrespectful for Camacho as well. Regardless, it’s the under 1.5 rounds at +145 we’re eyeing at. The fight is more likely to go over 1.5 rounds if we’re being honest, but we’re talking heavyweight here and with amateur heavyweights, knockouts are always a possibility. Both Pinto and Camacho have heavy hands and while undefeated, Camacho has some holes in his game which may get him knocked out early.
- Best Bet: Over 1.5 rounds at +145 on ESPN Bet Sportsbook

Vanilto Antunes vs Islam Dulatov
Let’s be honest, we’re not even sure why this fight is on the fight card. Dulatov is a ridiculous -900 favorite and is so much better that this shouldn’t be a contest. He’s fighting Antunes who has 6 losses on his record and should not be in this fight. Unfortunately, the total for this fight is set at 2.5 rounds at most sportsbooks. Initially, we were lookin at over 1.5 rounds, but this bete does not seem to be available. However, the line for 1.5 was briefly there at DraftKings Sportsbook, so if it becomes available again, you should hammer anything that’s -110 or better as Dulatov is not known for taking fighters out early.
- Best Bet: Over 1.5 Rounds (if available)

Sean Gauci vs Anthony Drilich
Gauci vs Drilich is the only one where the moneyline is worth entertaining. Gauchi goes in to the fight as the -190 favorite with Drilich at +150. Now this is an interesting fight on many accounts, but unfortunately for us, oddsmakeres have nailed this one down pretty accurately too. We would be looking for under 2.5 rounds, but it’s not available at Sports Betting Apps at the time of writing- Drillich moneyline at +150 is also interesting, but a bit too low given the level of Gauci. Our official suggestion: Parlay Gauci ML with Steele ML for +129 bet.
- Best Bet: Gauci ML + Steele ML at +129 at BetMGM Sportsbook
