Delaware seems to be right on schedule with their transition to Rush Street Interactive (RSI) for a new online casino and sports betting experience for players.
RSI announced in August it had been selected by the Delaware State Lottery as the new vendor for the state’s online gaming and sports betting business. The company’s CEO, Richard Schwartz, said they will replace 888 as the online casino operator in Delaware in early winter.
On Tuesday, DelawarePark.com told its online players in an email the transition to RSI is only weeks away.
“Over the next few weeks, all Delaware Lottery online casino accounts will be transitioning onto a new online gaming platform,” DelawarePark.com said in their email. “Your new online experience will include a wide array of real casino games as well as a new addition of online sports betting.”
DelawarePark.com continued, “As part of the transition, you will be required to re-register your account. Your account details and remaining bankroll funds will not be transferred to the new platforms.
“Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the transition date. We will be reaching back out with more details on our new online platforms.”
RSI currently provides three online gambling brands, BetRivers, SugerHouse, and RushBet.
Initially, RSI will provide online gaming in Delaware for five years and then have options to renew for additional one-year terms for an additional five years pending regulatory approvals.

Delaware has three land-based casinos, Bally’s Dover Casino Resort, Delaware Park Casino & Racing, and Harrington Racing & Casino. The three locations support 5,299 jobs, according to the American Gaming Association website.
RSI, a top-five online gaming provider, is currently live in 15 U.S. states and the international markets of Canada, Colombia, and Mexico.
Delaware Lottery officials said they were impressed with RSI’s responsible gambling practices.
“We reviewed proposed bids from other online gaming companies and suppliers, and the combination of experience and commitment to quality products, customer service, and responsible gaming is why we selected RSI,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery.
Keeley said she does not doubt that customers of Delaware’s three casinos will be thrilled with RSI’s services.
