Bets MNF Prop Bets: Tampa Bucs at Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs (7-0) are the only remaining undefeated team, and they host the Tampa Bay Bucs (4-4) on Monday Night Football. The Bucs are reeling from injuries to their top wide receivers and look to end a two-game skid. We found some of the bets MNF prop bets involving Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Travis Kelce, Cade Otton, Kareem Hunt, and DeAndre Hopkins.

The Chiefs are -8.5 favorites, and the points total is 45.5 over/under.

The Bucs average 29.4 points per game as the fourth-highest scoring team in the NFL. The Chiefs are ranked #9 in scoring with 24.7 ppg.
The Chiefs allow 17.6 ppg, which is ranked #5 in scoring defense and ranked #4 in defensive DVOA.

The Bucs allow 26.5 ppg, which is in the bottom five, yet they’re ranked #15 in defensive DOVA.

Best MNF Prop Bets: Touchdowns

Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield tossed 21 touchdowns in eight games. The Bucs have only six rushing touchdowns, and Mayfield has two of them. Rookie running back Bucky Irving scored three of them. Rachaad White has not been effective as traditional running back, but he caught three touchdown receptions.

Tight end Cade Otton emerged as Mayfield’s top target when Mike Evans and Chris Godwin went down with injuries. Otton caught all three of his touchdowns in the last three weeks, including two in Week 8. The best betting sites have Otton to score an anytime touchdown at +180 odds as one of our best SNF prop bets. We’re also looking to take a flier on multiple touchdowns by Otton at +1500 odds.

Running back Kareem Hunt leads the Chiefs with four rushing touchdowns, which he notched over the last three games. He’s questionable with a hip injury, yet he’s still the consensus favorite to score the first touchdown at +340 odd, an anytime touchdown at -260 odds, and +215 odds to score more than once.

Rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy scored five total touchdowns with three receptions and two rushing scores. Worthy is +150 odds to reach the endzone and worthy of a flier.

DeAndre Hopkins played just one game with the Chiefs since they acquired the veteran wide receiver trade. Hopkins is looking for his first touchdown with his new team, and he’s +175 odds to reach the endzone.

Tight end Tavis Kelce has only one touchdown this season, much to the dismay of Taylor Swift fans who have been betting Swift’s boyfriend to score almost every week. Kelce is always a popular player prop bets, which is why he’s even money to score a touchdown even though he dd it just once.

Bucs vs Chiefs Player Props: Passing

Mahomes averaged 235.9 passing yards per game this season. His passing total is 240.5 yards on MNF, which he exceeded four times including three times in the last four games. Mahomes has only one 300-yard game this season, but a 300+ yards on MNF will pay out +450 odds.

Mahomes has not been a touchdown machine like he had been in previous seasons, and actually threw more interceptions (9) than touchdowns (8).

Mahomes has a total of 1.5 touchdowns on MNF. He has three games this season with at least two touchdowns, but he has two games with zero touchdowns and two games with just one. Those are crazy numbers considering the Chiefs are 7-0 without Mahomes having to light it up.

Mayfield averaged 273.6 passing yards per game this season. His total is 236.5 yards, which he topped five times. He has at least 325 yards in four out of his last five games, including each of his last three games.

If you’re looking at alternative yards prop bets, Mayfield is +500 odds to pass over 300 yards at the top NFL betting sites. He’s also +250 odds to toss 275 yards or more.

Mayfield is a huge favorite at -175 odds favorite to throw under 1.5 touchdowns, and +135 odds to throw more than 1.5 touchdowns. If you think Mayfield will have a huge night, he’s +550 odds to throw three plus touchdowns on MNF.

Bucs vs Chiefs Player Props: Receiving

Kelce averaged 47.9 receiving yards per game for the Chiefs this season, but he’s averaging 66.5 yards over his last four games. He caught 70 or more yards in three out of his last four games. You can back him to haul in 80-plus yards at +205 odds, or 70-plus yards at +135 odds.

Worthy averages 33.6 yards per game. His total for MNF is 34.5 yards, which he passed only three times this season. With Hopkins added to the roster, expect Xavier’s overall production to drop off. The under 34.5 yards seems logical.

Without Evans or Godwin, Otton has been getting the most attention from Mayfield. Otton has 47 targets over the last six games, but 20 in the last two games.

Otton posted one 100-yard game and averaged 90.5 receiving yards over the last two weeks. Over the last six weeks, Otton averages 56.5 yards per game. We love Otton to go over 47.5 yards as one of our favorite MNF prop bets. We’re also considering an alt-yards prop bet with Otton catching more than 85.5 yards at +450 odds.

Keep an eye on White, who is used more in the passing game. His total is 22.5 yards, yet he averages 33.7 receiving yards per game. We like his over. In seven games this season, White exceeded 23 yards on four instances.

Consider an alternative yardage prop bet with White catching more than 30.5 yards, which pays out +170 odds. He caught more than 35 yards three times in his last four games.

Bucs vs Chiefs Player Props: Rushing

Hunt averages 77 rushing yards since joining the Chiefs in late September. He’s questionable for MNF and a game-time decision, which is why oddsmakers did not include him on their rushing props.

Mahomes averaged 19.9 rushing yards per game, which he usually accumulates on scrambles. He rushed for fewer than 17 yards at least four times this season. His rushing total is 19.5 on MNF.

The Bucs have three running backs that they rotate throughout a game. Their rotation is always a fluid situation depending on health and in-game situations.

Irving leads the Bucs with 76 carries for 395 yards. The rookie averages 5.2 yards per carry including 49.4 yards per game. Irving has a lingering toe injury, which is why his total is only 31.5 yards. He exceeded 44 yards in at least six games this season.
