In 2024, Elk Studios announced a massive game project spanning over the course of five months. The project, titled the Battle of Nitropolis, introduces a new online slot on the first Tuesday of each month from February onwards. All of the games are set in the Nitropolis universe. The battle was initially set to conclude on June 4th with the release of Nitropolis 5, but the release of the game was delayed until July 23rd.

? How to Play Nitropolis Games
Nitropolis slots feature 6 reels in 4 rows. The true spice of the game is found in the Nitro Reels. A Nitro Reel contains various features, but most importantly, they create more ways to win. There’s also a bonus game feature: the bonus game will be prompted after triggering three bonus symbols.

Basic Symbols
There are 12 different basic symbols on Nitropolis: the letters J, Q, K, and A; an emblem for each of the four Nitro Gangs; and a rat, pug, cat, and dog to represent each gang, respectively.
Wild Symbol
Elk Studios Nitropolis slot game has a wild symbol that’s portrayed by a mushroom cloud symbol in the first game of the series. In Nitropolis 2, 3, and 4, the wild symbol is depicted by toxic cocktails among other things. The wild symbol can act as any standard symbol that’s absent from the otherwise winning combination. If a Nitro Reel is included in a winning combination, the wins will be collected, after which the included symbols and the now sticky Nitro Reels respin and stay sticky for the remaining spins. Sticky Nitro Reels will still have the same number of other symbols when spinning. This respin feature can result in further winning combinations and the free spins continue until there are no combinations of winning symbols. With these sticky Nitro Reels active, the number of winning combinations rapidly climbs up to the millions.
Special Nitro Reels can appear on your regular spin, but they can also appear randomly after two symbols are stacked on top of each other respin. Sticky Nitro Reels can also randomly increase during a respin, between free spins, or even at the end of a spin. When this happens, an ‘Upgrade’ text will appear on the reel.
Sticky Nitro Reels will occasionally have a respin. This is easily spotted by the ‘Second Chance’ text that pops up on top of the reel.
? Free Spins Bonus Game Feature
Getting three or more special symbols will trigger the Nitropolis bonus game. The bonus rounds are essentially free spins. The number of free spins depends on the number of symbols that triggered the extra game, varying from 10 to 25. This free spins feature can also trigger a new set of bonus rounds – if you get three or more of the required special symbols.

Nitropolis 3
